I am told I can mention as first round auctions are closed and if less specific. So from one PC addict to another - friend in the city verified that if you expect factory fresh new stainless smell you likely get scratched, bubba sandpaper refinished etc. still great shooters but we will buy none. this will be obvious to some like me who were watering at the mouth otherwise disregard.

As someone who has been busted by the moderator staff for infractions of the no-posting-active-auctions rule, I agree and further believe that posting live auctions for the benefit of those who are seeking hard to find S&Ws should be permitted as long as the same model is not currently listed for sale in this site's Classified section.

Having stated that opinion, I will add that I'm sure the moderators feel they have a good reason for the existing rule and that a simple disclaimer of responsibility for sub-standard items would not offer the site sufficient protection. But I find it odd that two other such sites I frequent do not prohibit such posts.

You're entitled to your opinion.

Lee owns this board and has the "no live auction links/auction numbers" rule in place for a good reason. If they were allowed, the board would be flooded with links. Can you think of a better place to promote an auction of a S&W firearm? We're busy enough already and trying to determine the motivation behind an auction related post isn't something we need added to our plates.

In the future, please note the description of the Office. General board complaints DO NOT belong in the Smith & Wesson Semi-Auto Pistols forum.
