Is worth getting the threaded M&P9, just so I have the option to add a silencer in the future?

From my readings, it appears that a silencer actually helps to stabilize the bullet just before it exits the muzzle; thus, providing a better start for the trajectory.

Anyone used one before with the M&P?
Is the noise level cut by 30-40% or is it more like under 30%?

Thanks,

Its always worth getting a gun with a factory threaded barrel, especially at no additional cost.

Not sure what you've been reading, but a more likely scenario would be that the suppressor helps stabilize the gun, not the projectile, which generally tends to give better accuracy results.

Suppression is dependent on several things. Elevation, muzzle velocity to name a couple. Generally speaking, when using subsonic ammo, the noise level is usually reduced by at least 50%. Hypersonic ammo's report will be suppressed, but you will still hear the crack of the bullet as it breaks the sound barrier.

Good Luck!

I have a storm lake threaded barrel and an AAC 9mm can. Is it worth it? No (unless you shoot 147 sub sonic ammo and get taller sights).

Even with the sub sonic ammo, you cannot holster the weapon and it is long and heavy.
