Mother of pearl handles are either loved or hated. Checkered pants dandies used knives and guns with MOP handles. Having collected antique knives for 40+ years I have acquired a few Mop handles. MOP is actually a delicate handle material prone to cracking and flaking. Because of this most MOP handled knives were usually Sunday church knives of the smaller variety like the peanut. However now knife collecting is a "thing" and just because a knife is purchased do not mean it will ever be used. So MOP handles can be seen on larger knives in the world today. I did acquire a Diamond Edge premium stockman from the 50's that has MOP handles. The biggest old folder I have seen with such handles.
While I agree that you need to be careful not to drop it, I like your pearl Mini-CopperHead. Case Peanuts are smaller and have their own distinctive shape. The Mini-CopperHead is one Case pattern that I have not owned yet. One of these years I'll add one but it's not likely that I'll pay what pearl Case knives cost.
There have been a few large MOP folders made for the collector market. The Ka-Bar Collectors' Club large Coke Bottle is the first one that comes to mind. They were made by Queen. They're about 5 1/4" closed. German made 4 1/4" closed MOP Marbles Premium Stock Knives surface on flea bay and at shows often enough that an interested collector can find them. My largest MOP knife is a 4 1/2" closed Colonel Coon English Jack Knife that was made by Queen. Anyway there is logic in most MOP pocket knives being small. They are pocket jewelry that has some utility. I suspect most are not carried every day.

I think I paid $90.00 for it, slightly used.
I have a mother of pearl Bonsa lever-lock switchblade with a crack in the handle. I want to get it repaired, but no one will touch it. "Too delicate a project. Might crack the new scales."

My opinion, mother of pearl isn't a good choice for a switchblade. The force that sends the blade out could crack the pearl.
Yes, that makes sense. Never thought about it until now. I bought that knife years ago, hoping to fix it. Ah, well, now it's a wall-hanger.
