I watch a lot of world's craziest police chases etc., but I have never seen anything that even comes close to this!!! This takes a few minutes so sit back, hang on, and get ready to have your breath taken away.;)

This guy is insane, no doubt about that, but there's also no doubt that he can ride.:eek::eek:

Yep--he's insane--on a murder cycle/organ donor with a wish to die. Only one quick lane change by a car or truck from death.

But you're right--he can ride.

Hopefully he won't live long enough to breed.

Cool video Tim.:)

They usually don't make it to the ER when it's a crotch rocket crash.
Paperwork lists them as D R T. (dead right there.)

S&W forum noobie viewpoint

I have owned and raced many motorcycles. (just giving some perspective)
This type of riding is stupid, not cool, and totally diminishes motorcycle riders all over the world. It is hard enough to get respect from cagers w/o this crap on the web; or some DA kids wheeling down the highway. Get a life. Take it too the track.
It is kind of(?)similar to some lame brain crack shot walking into public with a rifle and taking pot shots at coke cans and purses... One mistake and someone is going to get hurt and everyone watching is thinking how irresponsible.
You want cool, watch GP bikes race in the rain at over 180 MPH.
Sorry, off my soap box.

Motorcycles are huge in Moscow. There is a national motorcycle club called "Night Wolves" that functions as a social organization, owns businesses -- including a square block of an electronics store in Moscow and a really cool restaurant -- and also functions as a social welfare organization, raising money for charities.

These guys live for this stuff. It's amazing how personal expression has bloomed in Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union. James Dean lives!

True story, I think it was just last October here in Florida, the state passed a law against riding your motorcycle on 1 wheel. $1500 FINE, first offense w/ Zero Tolerance. Until 2008, I have been riding/racing and building some custom bikes for almost 40 years, and I have alway's kept up on the laws. Turns out, the full story is a Florida Senator or Member of Congress was traveling on I95 in the Miami area and was really frightened pretty bad by some guy's on Sportbikes, wheelying past his limo at a very high rate of speed, so he then propossed the law and help pass the law into immeadiate effect. The law that also was enacted, is the unlawful use of a verticle license plate or tag if you prefer. Yes in Florida, that will/can get you a HEFTY fine. Not really enforced, we have some of the best L.E.O.'s in the country. You really have to be a hammerhead to get on the wrong side of them. 26

There are old motorcyclists, and there are bold motorcyclists, but there are no old, bold motorcyclists. The street is not a racetrack. There is no ambulance waiting with the engine running. There are unskilled, distracted, impaired, lost, and mad drivers milling about in both directions.

The Russian has skills but probably a short future.

When your bike is 9 feet long and your back tire is 12 inches wide, theres no need for that other non sense. Just ride. 26

I was struck by the fact that everytime he shot through what appeared to be an intersection, there was never any cross traffic, at least none that could be seen in the video.

I also kept waiting for someone to open a door:eek:, or not see him coming and switch lanes, or even for him to snag a mirror.

Anyone who would ride like this is full of testosterone, and stupidity, and shouldn't be allowed in to even own a bike or car, but whether or not you "approve" of it, it takes great skill to be able to move that fast, that close to other moving vehichles, and use the throttle and brakes at the right time.

Pretty hard to stage something like that, unless you have enough money to pay everyone in every car and truck, the city officials, etc etc.

I kept waiting for him to crash, thinking they must have recovered his video camera, and we would get to see the end of a fool, from the safety of our computers.

Just a careless motorcycle driver that pushes his luck.

If I had a video of my accident with the Suburban I could even top this:

I did make an unintended 360° with a fully loaded 99 Suburban at 55mph on a sudden icy road and veered off the road.

Now, that was not intentional as you can imagine, and I am glad we are alive.

I went with the traffic flow and there was a rather long incline and to keep the speed I gave it a little more throttle and at once at a speed of 55mph my left rear end of the Suburban moved out to the left and then we started spinning, we made a complete 360° and hit a bank of snow parallel on the right side of the road, the truck came to a sudden stop there and started to tilt over sideways , but luckily did not and bounced back on the wheels. If anybody tells you, you could train and react – forget it, it happened so fast you can't even think.

I suppose with the electronic stabilization systems in the new SUVs this wouldn't have happened, because these programs were designed to avoid exactly this situation that mostly leads to a rollover with a rather high riding SUV. However the old Suburban survived, just had a "battle scar" and it was fixed easily.

But back to topic: Driving like this Russian leads to death rather sooner than later.

Thanks Bullseye.

I noticed they were few and far between, but thought that should make traffic at their loctaions rather heavy. Good to know.
