Looks like its would be worth the gamble keep us posted. the only thing I can see is it looks like it could possibly interfere with racking the slide. For EDC it might not work either but you said you just punch paper with it so give it a whirl.

I was just about to put it on and decided to stipple the gun. So I should have it finished soon and I'll post when I do.

Doesn't look like it would be effective(IMO). The thumb rest should be for your support hand, that looks like it's for the dominant hand (assuming a right handed shooter) I use one all the time (just not on a M&P) :D But you won't know until you try it, that's the though process that made me have drawers full of unused pistol "do dads".

I held it on the gun and I'm skeptical, but I'll give it a try. Is that an STI? My next purchase is probably gonna be an STI Costa Carry Comp. haven't decided on 9 or 45 tho.

It is an STI, I changed from a M&P Open 9 major to an STI because I kept cracking the slide on the M&P:eek:, I never shot with a thumb rest on that one (that's not entirely true, the 90 degree mount worked as a "sort of" thumbrest :D.)
