Thumbing

Hi:
In this case it means increasing thumb pressure as you are squeezing the trigger.
Also "Thumbing" is a method of firing a single action revolver by holding the trigger to the rear and pulling the hammer rearward with your thumb and releasing the hammer repeatly for fast firing. Similar to "Fanning " the hammer with your hand.

If you are right-handed, too much thumb pressure on the left frame throws your shots right. Left-handed shooters would have the opposite problem :)
