I couldn't help but notice a 45-2 on gunbroker that was bid up to $9500 last week didn't make the seller's unknown reserve price.
the time ran out and the revolver is now for sale again, and for the last several days hasn't moved past the 5 hundred dollar mark.
I suspect that maybe some potential bidders might have tuned into the smith and Wesson forum, where it was observed that the not very attractive hand grips on the 45-2 are replacement grips.
the original grips were reportedly checkered walnut.
the new auction for the 45-2 runs for 3 more days. it will be interesting to see if the bid goes higher than the current $500.
