I painted the fender flares on my truck.. cleaned surface with wax and grease remover roughed up the surface with 220 grit sand paper primed and painted with the product the auto parts store gave me ..and now 6 months later the paint is coming off. Any info on a better product or painting process would be helpful .Thanks

Might look into Krylon Fusion. I've had great success with it on numerous projects.

Go to an auto paint supply store. There are special additives for plastic. Or you might try Sherwin-Williams. They carry a paint called Polane. It is an expensive two part and has Isocyanates in it so don't touch it without a good organic vapor respirator. Will stick to plastic and will not come off.

I bought some spray cans of "Rustoleum" brand paint a couple years ago specified for painting plastic, such as outdoor furniture, etc. I used it to paint some down spout extensions and it has lasted like new for several years in the weather..

I have a 1995 Kaw KLX 650 enduro. Red plastic and Kaw only imported these for 3 years. Plastic is not made anymore and the red is fading bad on the side pannels. An auto body guy at work suggested Duracoat. Yep, like what they paint guns with. Havent tried it yet though.
