Update on my new Tisas U.S. Army model .45 automatic:
250 rounds fired with the two factory MecGars and three CMP surplus USGI magazines.
0 issues. 100% feed reliability.
Slide locked back on every magazine. Smooth shooter. These use forged slides and frames, and cold hammer forged barrels. What’s more, every internal part is machined from solid billet steel and are “machined after hardening” to preserve tolerance. No cast or MIM parts at all. Machining, fit, and finish are superb.
Only issue is a little hammer bite but hey, that’s a GI M1911A1 for you. Thrilled with this gun. Excellent companion to my M1 Garand. Best deal going in firearms according to many. Several custom smiths recommend these as top quality, comparable to even a Springfield and (yes, believe it or not) a Colt.
Granted, it’s made in Turkey, but for $399 it’s unbeatable. Highly recommended.
