Has anyone had experience with them? I am considering having a 25-5 cut for moon clips in order to use .45 ACP along with the .45 Colt. The price seems reasonable and they are conveniently located for me. I can accept the permanent modification, but don't want my Smith butchered (or out of commission for 2 years waiting).

They are a first rate company with many moon clip conversions under their collective belt. They also make the premium quality moon clips. I have never heard of a squawk about them. That's really good in this internet day and age.

Very quick turn around time. IIRC it was about a week to get my M60-4 cyliner back cut for 9mm. Excellent workmanship.

Here is the M60-4 mentioned above that TK did for me last year.

I had them do a 629 competitor cylinder for me, less than 2 weeks from the time I dropped it in the mail to the time it was back, and the work was excellent.
I just picked up a 19 carry comp and I will have them cut that as soon as I get around to it.

FYI, before you order you should check out TK's FAQs

Basically you need to consider whose/what ammo you are going to "moon clip", and then order the proper thickness of moon clip accordingly.

It has been awhile ago, but I remember that they actually sent me a SAMPLE pack of moon clips to help me decide... ;)

Tom does a Most Excellent job and is well worth every penny. I even had him cut my Model 29 for moons and it works great.

Another plus for Tom and crew at TK Custom. Great work and great guys to talk to/work with.
