TLR-1 Mounting Question

Hi All,
I'm a new member of this forum and a new(ish) S&W owner. I've got an M&P 45 that I'm looking to mount a Streamlight TLR-1 tactical flashlight on but I'm having some trouble with it. I intend to use a remote pressure switch for the light so it has the larger backing plate on it to accommodate the switch. Problem is, the light is too large to fit on the pistol now. It even looks like with a different backing plate it still won't fit. Is there an additional piece I need to buy to allow it to mount correctly? Any ideas (especially from someone with this same combo) would be greatly appreciated.

New to this forum myself, but I think I can help. The TLR is not like the Surefire lights in that it does not have a pistol compatible pressure switch backplate. I use the TLR myself, I just use the standard rocker switch.

I have not seen an aftermarket backplate that will let you run a pressure switch.

Thanks for your reply. I do have the pressure switch compatible backplate for the TLR-1 already. But if you say that it will install on the M&P 45 with the standard backplate (on/off and pulse switch) then I will have to buy that backplate also and just forget about using the pressure switch.
