To All That Buy In Bulk

Heck, I just got twice that... and the only person who visited me was the UPS guy (groaning about the weight!)

Hell, don't y'all remember Janet Reno, the Clinton years, saying that anyone that purchased a brick of 500-rounds of .22-LR should be considered "needing an arsenal-permit"? Or, those that obtained and possessed metal ammo-boxes should be considered potential terrorists? Horror-stories and "the sky is falling" rumors are gonna be very prevalent during the Obama years......

Like many news stories, I don't think we are getting, as the late Paul Harvey would say, the rest of the story. I have ordered in 1000 rd quantities before and like zoom6zoom said, the only person complaining was the UPS guy! I would love to know who the online dealer was so I can take them off of my list of sources.

Is it one of these dealers???

I don't know if it is true or not. I found it doing a search on the Albany,NY thread about ammo. This popped up on the news page. I did a search and couldn't find anything on it. Could be that the store owner that was interviewed was "running off" at the mouth.

I truely doubt that a 1K round purchase would raise the eyebrows of HS. That is to common a thing to get anyone's attention, especially lately. they may already have been interested in him for other reasons, or it may just be rumor.

Go to Walmart and buy two bricks of .22LR (if they have it in stock). See if DHS visits.

Hint: if you set out the milk and cookies, they'll be sitting there a long time.

Good luck finding two bricks of .22LR, but really 1000 rnd bulk?, that seems like the nanny state would be very busy.

Just for the sake of discussion, I wonder what law enforcement powers Homeland Security has in a situation like this - assuming it happened. Frankly I would not be very cooperative with somebody showing up at the door unless they had a search warrant.
