To Buy Or Not To Buy

This is not quite apples to apples, but my area Cabela's has had a very nice shorty forty, in the display case for the past several weeks, priced at $850. If I didn't already have two, it would have come home with me. My first one cost me $887 ten years ago and the second one pictured, cost me $850 about 5 years ago. Question is, has inflation and time driven the price to $1400+. They are great shooters. Much better than I am.

Buy it as a back-up to the TS&W.

I picked up a second Shorty-9 back in the 90s as a back-up to the one I carried/carry!

Two is one and one is none!.....or something like that.
