LOL!! If I put my thermometer out in the sun it would likely read 150°F.

I remember my one trip to Las Vegas. Middle of the summer, wind kicked up. Felt like i stepped in front of a giant hair dryer.

Yes, it is a relatively dry heat, but with the wind going outside is like standing in front of a blast furnace.
Summers in Afghanistan were like that. We averaged 110 degrees F for like 4 months.
I don't miss that place.

I checked the thermometer on my grill, it read 190°, no need for wood this time of year!
ETA... 10 pm and still 104°.

We hit 115° today in Phoenix. At a few minutes 'til midnight...it's still 104°. Yesterday was 114°, calling for 112° tomorrow, and 110° through Thursday. Good times...

Come to West Texas. We were 107 yesterday and expect 110 today. You guys from Arizona may want to bring a light jacket.
Currently 88 degrees with probably humidity in the 90% range. It's the dang humidity that kills me!
My house faces east/west. At 8AM. the front door hardware is almost too hot to touch. Last Wed., I hosed dirt off the back windows and the yard was pleasant in the 9:30 shade. Yesterday AM, same time, could not go out there. Weather services showed 99-100 degrees at midnight. Worst I recall was 117 in 2017, but this is a bad stretch.

Well, they *were* calling for 112° today...but, seeing as it was already 110° by noon, they've bumped up their prediction to 114°. I need a cold drink.

Our forecast was for 71F today, but it is already 72 at 1:00! Dry heat, heck no, the humidity is already about 50%.
Fortunately, we have a heat pump!
Tomorrow, we will be going to Deception Pass State Park. Out by Whidbey Island Naval Air Station. It's usually about 10 degrees cooler there.

Ha, it’s only 104 here.
The cloud cover kept the sun away, plus were not surrounded by all that concrete that sucks up the heat.

My goodness...I guess I am spoiled by air conditioning. I honestly don't know how you can deal with temperatures like that; do you have to drink water constantly to stay hydrated?
It is about 81 degrees here with lots of humidity and I am cooked.
Although, we get negative 30-40 degree temps. so I guess it is regional. I'm not too worried until about negative 20.

That’s the thing TH, we acclimate just like you do for the colder weather, I couldn’t imagine making it through one winter where you live!
Down here AC is not a luxury, it’s life support, it’s amazing that anyone thought settling this region was a good idea, must have come through during the winter.

108 here this afternoon. Yesterday was officially 106, but my car read 111. It was windy here, too. Sometimes the wind makes it feel cooler. Not today. It just feels that much hotter kinda like LVSteve's description of a blast furnace.
We're used to it, though. I need a jacket if it gets much below 80.

It is 90* temp. time in this part of the sand box now last week and next six days.
Will "Snow bird" it up to the cabin in South Lake Tahoe on Forest Service land very soon to enjoy the cool air, green rustling Quakes and babbling stream.
