Tom Sizemore gone at 61

Sizemore starred, in 2002, in a Michael Mann created TV show, Robbery Homicide Division, which was critically acclaimed but cancelled after only one season… rumors were out there, one being Sizemore's narco related arrest.

I personally think he was a great actor, but I believe he was haunted by perceived and real self-made demons throughout his life and his career.
A real loss to the acting world.

gone too soon. i'm a big fan of his work in many movies.
yes at times he led a troubled life mainly by his own doing but it doesn't tarnish my fondness of watching him on the screen. rip

Sad. Great actor. I understand that before he was picked as a major actor in Saving Private Ryan, director Stephen Spielberg told him that he absolutely had to be drug-free during the entire filming or his participation would be scrapped. Sizemore complied religiously and gave one of the best performances of his career. One wonders if his addiction was a factor in his demise.

May God rest his soul.

Sad news! I love Tom Sizemore. I doubt his aneuryism had anything to do with his alleged "demons". He lived a full life and I wish I could have had several drinks with him. I used to quote him all the time after a briefing for some nasty arrest: I'm bringing my gun to work!

point of clarification. An aneurism is the bubble or thin spot in an artery. You can live a normal life with one or more. It's when it bursts, and where it is, and where you are when it happens that determines if it is a serious or deadly occurance.

My partner has an aneurism, and they filled it with a micro thin wire which coiled up and made a wad. Fed the wire up through her thigh. A clot formed around the wad of wire, and plugged the balloon. Problem solved. Sometimes they do surgery and put on a tiny clip on its neck. She still has an aneurism, but it's danger has been neutralized. They were imaging her neck, and the radiologist caught the aneurism in the corner of the image, and likely saved her life.

Everything I have read about Sizemore's death ignores actually explaining anything usefull about what happened. One thing that would have been usefull would have been that smoking increases the risk, and that they can be heriditary. So any blood relatives of his should get scanned, especially if they smoke. My partner's brothers, and their kids got scanned, as did her kids.

I have always liked him as an actor, and was aware of his addictive struggles. It really limited his career later on. Sad.
