Tomorrow I'm Wearing My Recently Approved Revolver To Work

I wore 5.11s in Afghanistan for 3 years, 2004-2007, and I still wear them today. They fit me fine. What don't you like about them?

Just prefer to not wear "made in China" when there are lots of capable tradespeople in this country and others with civilized labor laws and who are more favorably disposed to the USA who would like to keep their jobs. When I was doing custom fabrication I always told my clients "I'm happy to buy from folks who pay their people a decent wage, that way they can afford me rather expensive services".

Great thread op. I'll also throw a plug out there for the Safariland Comp II speedloaders. They are fantastic and not having to twist a knob is great. The model no. for the K frames is J-K2C. I believe Safariland also still makes speedloader pouches as well.

Good on you. I carried a revolver for most of my career. I did carry a Model 59 for a short while, but I went back to a Model 65 liking it's pointability in the dark of the midnight watch better.

My duty belt was also black basket weave and the holster and belt were made by the Hoyt company. I still wear it from time to time on boar hunts where I might need a fast draw. My plain cloths and off duty holster was the brown Hoyt holster for a Model 60.

I too like Black Hills products. Rudy Lazano makes some good pancakes.
Here are a couple of my favorites. Left to Right:

Sharkskin rig with my S&W Model 642-1
Lizard trim rig with my S&W Model 642-1 again.
Lizard rig with my Colt's Agent.

Elegant, Beautiful and Deadly! Does it get any better than that?
I have never seen a Lizard rig before! I didn't even know such a thing existed. Man....now I want one. I swear Mr. Phil, the more I learn from you the broker I get, lol. No worries. I consider the "Juice" well worth the "Squeeze"!

The lizard holster is from Black Hills Leather (Rudy Lazano), and the
lizard belt is from James Culver. The sharkskin holster is also from
Black Hills and the shark belt is by Crescent.

CQB - I didn't realize you were left handed until I looked at that picture
you posted. I hope you were able to use those two right-handed holsters
I sent to you.
Phil

I'm standing in front of the mirror.....I'm right handed!
I wore that Chisholm's Trail cross draw all the way to Florida and back during our recent vacation. Man that holster was made for car riding! I wear the floral cut around the house all the time. Saturday night I spent some time around a fire in the backyard stretched out in an Adirondack chair sporting my pre model 10 snubbie tucked safely inside it, (I know, it was 75 degrees but my youngest had some of her friends over, lol).

Nice to see a throwback leather setup. Looks great. I was police officer in Georgia back in the 70's (74-79), only thing we were allowed to carry was revolvers.
