My granddaughter called me yesterday afternoon and wanted to know if we could go to the range tomorrow and shoot. It's been months since she has wanted to go with school and work and I am so ready. I bought her a S&W Victory for her 21st birthday and she has only shot it a few times. So she and my wife and I will be heading out tomorrow to put some holes in some paper. She'll shoot her Victory, my wife will shoot mine, and maybe both will give my M&P9 a little workout. The last time we went they had a ball and the first thing they asked me afterwards was when we were going to go again. I can't wait! :D

Any day at the range is a good day , but when you take a daughter or son , it's a great day . But when you take the next generation , grandkids , it's stellar . I envy you , all I have is a group of Cape Canaveral retirees . But we do go every Tuesday and then go to lunch . Still , I would rather be in your shoes .

Update: Today was so much fun! Both my wife and granddaughter put about 100 rounds or so with my granddaughter's Victory and did pretty well. It took a little re-learning and refreshing since neither had shot in almost a year. My granddaughter tried shooting left-handed for the first time since she's left eye dominant and does as many things left-handed as she does right. After some adjustments she did really well. Both of my girls really enjoyed themselves and wanted to know when we were going again. My wife even put a pic on her Facebook page of her and my granddaughter in their range gear smiling from ear to ear. It doesn't get much better than a day like that. :D:D
