Went for a nice walk in the woods with my Dad yesterday. We went to Hi-Tor which is just south of Canandaigua Lake in the Finger Lakes. Ended up doing 7.2 miles with lots of elevation.
Love going to the woods, its good for the soul.

Great! So far this year has been a bit milder than usual. At least for me that makes the walking easier!:D

You need to add a nice fireplace picture that the above trio. Good for you guys, getting out, good memories

great post! Love the pics. I too appreciate a nice walk in the woods. It really is good for the soul. Even after I stopped deer hunting I still would go along and serve and camp cook, photographer and hey boy. I didn't care about the hunting but I just couldn't stay out of the woods. Especially at that time of the year.

Well I just got that knife as a christmas present from the wife. I haven't had much a chance to use it yet but it feels great in hand and its fairly light which is good for walking.

It's been a really great winter for non-skiing activities. I've been walking daily and haven't had to bust out the boots yet, all trail sneakers. I love Hi-Tor and the surrounding areas. My grandpa lives down that way just south of Naples. I am fortunate that my dad is still around and in great shape. They had me when they were super young. Growing up my dad has been kinda like an older brother since we share most of our hobbies, fishing, hiking, camping, shooting, motorcycling, and even civil war reenacting.
