I removed the nut and barrel. The tool works great. Has anyone used a torque wrinch to re-install the nut, and if so, where can I buy one? I just installed the nut hand tight then sinched it tight with a wrinch.

Years ago I got my Craftsman torque wrench at Sears. I'm sure they are readily available. How many lbs are you going to torque your nut at?

a picture or link of would be greatly appreciated. I was wondering the same thing on how to get the appropriate torque using the my barrel nut tool. Thx!!

Guys, just get yourself a set of crowfoot-style sockets. They look like an open-end wrench on one end, and have a square hole in the other end for a 3/8" or 1/2" torque wrench. Stay around 20 ft-lb because of the leverage factor as you move farther out from the the ratchet part of your torque wrench. Shoo
$7 15/16" crowfoot example:

If you're in a hurry and on a limited budget, use (borrow) a torque wrench set to the torque you want, and "tighten" a bolt. You could even put the 4 sided drive in a vise and get the feel of the torque you need. Then you can use that feel on the handle that Shoo provides, or on a pipe wrench, or whatever. The torque specified is not a magic number that has to be within +-1%. Remember, you should clamp your barrel in a vice block to not put the torque into the polymer upper.

ahhh... a crowfoot socket! That solves everthing. Thanks guys!!

If you live in California and need a torque wrEnch you can find one cheap at a swapmeet. All the Illegals sell all kinds of random tools at swap meets for dirt cheap.
