I've been a huge supporter of Ruger for over 20 years. Became frustrated with the lack of accessories. Carried the American 9 and Sub Compact American 9. Sold them both.
Thought to myself if it's a shtf situation. What pistol will have plenty of parts?
So I bought a Glock 17 and a Glock 43.
Hated the 43 after shooting it.
Went to a range day. Tried many different sub compacts. Later went to a friend's house and shot his Shield 1.0 and I was more accurate with it than any other subcompact I had recently shot like the hellcat, p365, xds and several others.
Purchased a Shield Plus. Regretting it at the moment since the mags aren't available. I always carry a spare mag. I'm sure in a few months we may see the 13rd mags in the shelf again.
