I hate fire. It is my worst nightmare. But what do you want to tell us with this picture? Is it your barn?
These were pictures of the ongoing fire on the west side of town, at last report there were 20 homes destroyed, 9,500 people evacuated from their homes. Fire fighters were called from over the state fighting with winds of approximately 60-70 mph.

My youngest daughter and her husband live in the Skyline Apartments in Reno. They got rousted out early this morning and evacuated. Luckily, they are OK and the apartments didn't burn down. They are however going to stay in a hotel for the next few days till they can scrub the walls and carpets and wash all their clothes.

This is really terrible. The biggist nightmare beside to loose your family and lovedone's is to loos your house in a fire. I wish all the victims of this big fire strenght. It give's my the chill's. Brrrrrrr

my brother lives in that neighborhood. I better check on him and his family. He's probaly OK I know they don't live on the edge but more in the middle

We hate uncontrolled fire, too, as we, also, live in a fire-prone area in the mountains. We've had several huge conflagrations up here since we move up, about 14 years ago. In 2003, our ridge, and home, escaped burning to the ground, by only about 200 yards. The folks up above us burned out, sad to say. We LOVE our Firefighters, LEO's, and Emergency Medical folks, and pray for them every single night!! During our fires, NO firefighters pay for restaurant meals up here, as our local population actually fight it out to see which of us gets to foot their bill, completely!
God Bless the poor folks up in and around Reno!! Our band used to play in the hotels and casinos up there, back in the '80's and '90's, and we love that place! May God protect one and all in harm's way up there, and give our Firefighters up there the courage, strength, and wherewithal to put an end to the current infernos that are burning uncontrolled!!!!
