there are alot of people out there that think you can't shoot jackted bullets with trail boss, called the factory and they said no problem, I have been shooting 13.7g of TB with the 255g swc, could not get them to shoot in the 12.5" barrel, some shoot good in the 8.5, so today I tried 13.7 TB with the hornady 240 xtp. shot not bad some under a inch at 25 yards,
then I shot a group with 15g Tb with the 240xtp, could not believe the small hole it made .504 5 shot group, this is a great powder for reduced loads, zero recoil. so if you have not tried it, an you like small holes on the target you may want to.

I just shot my first 13.5 gr Trail Boss / 250 gr XTP loads in 460 mag. I like it. At 25yds, it shot about 2" lower than the previous loads that I shot, So I was holding "about" 2" high above my red dot. Even with guestimating where to hold aim, I shot 18 shots in about a 2" group.

The one thing different was the muzzel flip. The full power (or close to it) loads push straight back and try to drive my arm bone out of my elbow. The TB loads had a little muzzel flip to them. Just an observation.

When I made these loads, I noticed some room left in the case. I'll have to step it up a grain.

sounds like your 460 likes it, i'm at 15g, the 13.5 in the 12" barrel was not good, i may even go up a few more clicks, the groups seem to get smaller the faster you shoot them.
