Transitional HD grip question

Guys,
I have a Transitional HD S6537X that I'm thinking about asking Patrick to make a special set of stocks for. I'm under the feeling that the stocks should be slightly longer like for the 1917 and pre war HD's. Can somebody here confirm this?

Those stocks are vintage correct Magnas which are only as long as the grip frame. And they have the early sharp shoulder. Do they number to the gun (backside of right stock)?

Not sure what you mean by longer, none of the stocks you mention were any longer than the grip frame.

If you mean are the transitional N grip frames slightly longer than the later ones, the answer is yes. I have seen very early 1950s N frame stocks on a 1947 gun and they are about 1/8" short on the bottom of the frame.

These do not number to the gun, off by 20,000 or so. I think they are a bit short at the bottom. I think I need to ask Patrick to make them a bit longer then which he does for pre war and 1917s.

I asked Patrick to make a set of stocks for my pre-war Outdoorsman. He is aware of the different length and will happily accommodate you if you ask for it. Mine fit perfectly. We'll look for pictures soon!
