Trapper conversion

Recently acquired a model 28-2, 4" barrel that has been converted to 45acp.
Quality of work is excellent.

On the frame, inside the crane, it is stamped TRAPPER above the model number.

There are also "T"s stamped in several other places.

Has anyone seen this marking before or know it's signifcance?

Trapper Gun Works was located on Gratiot outside of Detroit and was known for high quality custom work.

I am interested in a similar project. Any recommendations on who to do it? I'm thinking Bowen. I've been told it is a bear to do correctly without a 45ACP/AR cylinder for some reason relating to the cartridge case configuration.
