No worries, I wasn't trying to be funny. It's been pretty obvious to the most casual observer over the last few years that the thoroughbred racing game has got out of control. Sadly, I see no realistic chance of anything being done about it.

I probably agree for the most part. There are several things
that would help: no racing until age 3, no doping(almost all
tracks allow some, "medications"), breeders selecting for better
bone structure to support muscle. Some simple fixes. And like you most of these won't happen until the public stops spending
their dollars.
