I had lunch today with 3 of my Cronies and immediately after we wandered into Total Wines & More (MEGA Liquor store) and they had Eagle Rare in stock which is in it self rare! :) It was on my short list to try and so I whipped out the wallet.

We got home and wound up in a friends house where I pulled the cork on the bottle. It is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon (90 proof) and is absolutely delightful. We drank it neat and everyone thought it was terrific. When I told them that the 10 year old Bourbon was only $31.99 they didn't believe me, so I went out to the car and found the receipt. They though I was mistaken because I bought 7 other bottles as well. When I showed them the price the were even more astounded.

Any Bourbon lover who has not tried Eagle Rare SHOULD! :) It's very good!

One of the best bourbons and best deals available. Nowadays made by Buffalo Trace, it's basically the regular BT bourbon aged three more years.

And it's hand-bottled. Two years ago when I toured the distillery, we got to see the bottling line :)

I concur with chief38 and the others. Eagle Rare is a delightful bourbon and one I can find available locally. If you haven’t - try it.

I picked up a bottle in Louisville after the show a couple of weeks ago. This stuff is good. I haven't checked to see if its available locally yet but will next time I resupply.

The "first step is admitting you have a problem":)

Perhaps not "drinking" but spending all that money. There are programs for both.;)

Eagle Rare has been around since the 1970s (although it belonged to Seagram’s until about 1990), and it’s widely available. Currently, 195 of about 250 liquor sellers in Oregon have it in stock (one of the advantages of a controlled state is that I can check online ;)). So if you can’t find it locally, you should complain to your dealer :)

Giad you got some Eagle Rare. It's my second favorite. Henry McKenna 10 yr old is my go to. If you haven't tried it yet get a bottle and let me know what you think.

I truly enjoy trying new things! Not just Bourbon, but gun products, automotive products, tools, etc. As a matter if fact, the only thing I've not tried in 40 years is another wife - I doubt I'd find another one like the original - :D:):D:)

As I enjoy all things 'Rare'.....I'll try to give Eagle Rare a try.

Been sippin this brand of 'Rare Breed' for a few years now.

Purty darn smooth at a 112 Proof. ;):D
