Buffalo Trace and Angel Envy are my go to.
With craft brewers having become a trend in recent years, my holiday go-to is Original Appalachian Whiskey. Distilled, barreled, aged, and bottled just 30 miles north of me. It's a labor of love for them, one I bought myself last year is hand labeled by the bottler, Batch 15, Aged 7 years.
If it's not available, I'll grab a Bulleit.
I never acquired a taste for liquor. As a dyed in the wool beer guy I will gladly raise a proper pint to all who imbibe in their chosen creature comforts be they liquid or otherwise.
Cheers.
That's an easy one . Although I currently have a few bottles open that I'm enjoying my Favorite one is Woodford Reserve Double Oaked. If there's anyone here who hasn't tried it yet I would highly recommend it. You will Not be disappointed!
Lately I have been favoring Templeton Rye. I don't need a special occasion to drink a good whisky.
Good choice, it's one of my favorites.
All the hype about Buffalo Trace a couple of years ago, couldn't find it anywhere at home. I was on vacation stayed at a hotel somewhere in Tennessee, liquor store across the street, went over to check it out and they had cases of Buffalo Trace, $23 a bottle. So, I bought 3 bottles, one of the worst (to me) bourbons I'd even tried. Gave away 2 bottles of it.
The special holiday pick will be one of the Markers Mark Limited Releases or Private Selections. They are all a little different due to the stave selections for the secondary aging.
And if the son in law asks nicely, a pour of Jack Daniels Sinatra..
