Triggr options?

So what options do we have for triggers in the 15-22? I guess can I get a break down in price ranges what are the best options? I was thinking about the CMC which I heard was around 165$ and I was also looking at the Timney which is around 220$. I plan on getting into some plinking competitions.

I have both of those drop in triggers and while both shoot really great, the CMC is an easier install.

For my 15-22, I went with a Timney 3lb trigger. I got this for 189.00 off ebay. I went with the Timney based off a lot of negative reviews for the CMC trigger and I am glad I did. Everything from installation and functionality was great. Makes shooting the 15-22 even more enjoyable. Highly recommend the Timney.

Not at all. Just a couple of easy steps of taking the trigger and hammer pins out and removing the old trigger and hammer. And then literally dropping in the Timney trigger Assembly and re-installing the hammer and trigger pins.

With installing the Timney trigger, I did go ahead and purchase the KNS Pin Kit just to ensure no "Walking Pins" and based off reading other reviews. That usually goes for any drop in Trigger assemblies. Plus, they look good too! Haha

You left out the part about the two set screws that screw down into the bottom of the receiver. Since the receiver is plastic on a 15-22, as opposed to metal on an AR, it can damage the receiver. Timney will send you a metal shim to place between the screws & the receiver & that has worked for some, but in my case, and others, the shim caused a misalignment & I couldn't replace the trigger/hammer pins. So I went without the shim but was just real careful when tightening those screws.

CMC doesn't use any screws. But as I said, both shoot really nicely.

Yeah, I already ordered a set of hte no walk pins because I knew I would be doing a trigger soon.

Good pins & agree it is a good idea to go ahead & use anti-walk pins when you change triggers. I prefer a cleaner look and since I'm not concerned about rotation, used the cheaper JP anti-walk pins.

Oh okay sounds good. And yes I am sorry, the set screws. Just be careful not to over tighten the set screws as the 15-22 is polymer. As Redneck Jim said, I did not go with a shim either.

Yeah I agree! But its the exact same install as an AR except of the over tightening the set screws. There is a couple good videos on YouTube ofcourse.

Yeah, I guess I need to look into the set screws.. not familiar with those.

Its nothing to complicated. The assembly has 2 screws already installed that you will have to tighten (just a little) Once you have done that, the 2 screws (included) will have to be screwed in on top of those screws if that makes sense. I know it sounds complicated but its really not once you watch a video showing you a more detailed. Its really simple, just a little patience is all you need. Lol. I am actually going to be installing another one this weekend. Nothing to it.

Just finished installing my CMC trigger set and JP oversize antiwalk pins...it was ezzy peezy and the trigger feel is great!!

Another option is a Wilson Combat trigger set, but it is pretty pricey, although I almost went that route.
