This may seem like a dumb question but here it goes, I am trying to replace the adjustable rear sight on a 3906 with a Trijicon SA01, how do I get the sight off the assembly. Looking at it I am missing something or is there a trick

You need a sight pusher, or a brass punch and hammer to drive the sight off the slide.

If there is locktite, then throw the assembly in your toaster @ 450F then while hot press the sight off.

Don't forget, add a piece of tape over the sight so the brass won't leave any marks.

500, thanks but I finally figured it out. My sights are the adjustable type, using a magnifying glass and looking for a little bit, I took a drill bit by hand cut the staking out and got the rear sight replaced, now to get the front sight off and replaced.
