Trio of 24-3's.

I finally received my 3" Lew Horton 24-3 from my brother. Now, I have one of each barrel length, 3", 4", and 6 1/2". All are NIB or ANIB (I don't know if any of them have been fired). Given the low production numbers for these guns, I'm pretty excited about this. Approximate shipping numbers are 5,000 for the 3" Lew Horton Special, 2,625 for the 4", and 4,875 for the 6 1/2". This is per the SCSW.

The 3" version is a solid little gun. It's my first S&W with a barrel shorter than 4". Pretty cool! I also bought the 24-3 holster that shipped with approximately 1,000 of these guns.

I have lots of holes in my collection. This is my first "set".

That's friggin awesome man. Congratulations and good job. Small sets like that are a blast to complete. My only set is the three Masterpiece's. You should get each of those guns lettered.

Welcome to the Club! There's not a lot of people that can lay claim to a set of NIB 24-3's, it took me 25 years of working, looking and then just being lucky enough to finally complete the set.
Now you'll find the hard part is resisting the tempation to fire them, best way to manage it is to get a couple of 624's and fire them as surrogates.

Thank you. Have you ever taken a picture of your set? I'd like to see it if you have.

I may need to pick up a 624 shooter. The closest thing that I have is a 28-2 and it's not a .44.

Beautiful trio of guns there. Is it just me or does anyone else fall in love with whichever one you're currently looking at?

Gosh they're gorgeous. So blue-blackey and shiny. Since it rains anywhere from 65 - 140" where I frequent, I am of necessity a stainless steel kind of guy, and I'm a shooter... I'd use and abuse such a trio in no time. So really, they are better in your hands than mine. Congratulations all the same. Clean Break
