I have recently acquired a TL, 1st series ,factory nickel, 5K serial number that left the factory 11-1911.
According to the SWSC #4 the serial number should be in 4
locations: Cylinder, Barrel, Butt and Yoke.
On this revolver the serial number on the butt and ejector rod shrould match. There is a 4 digit number, in the 1K series, on the
yoke and the frame, just under the shroud that do not match
the serial number found in the other 2 places.
The cylinder has no serial number of any kind but under the
extractor star there is a number that matches the butt serial number. There is no "N" on the cylinder face.
This is my first TL. Am I missing something or are these numbers correct for this early TL. I was wondering if the numbers on the yoke and under the shroud are nothing more
than assembly numbers and everying is correct.
