Looks like the tritium is coming out of the Front sight of my MP9C. Tried to take a picture with my iPhone but it just didn't work. Was thinking of replacing the front site with a green dot anyway with something like this: HiViz SW2007 - Front Smith & Wesson M&P Sight
But saw a post that said it would reduce my site radius. Any suggestions?

The tritium is either in there or not, it does weaken over time like 10-12 years but if leaking it's gone. The fiber optics are great in daylight and on range guns, but don't help in low light and are somewhat fragile. The night sight lamps can be replaced I think the company is Tool Tech in Michigan.

Don't know if it's tritium or just white paint. It's whatever is on the stock sites that came with the gun. Must have came off last time I went to the range a couple days ago.

if it was stock its just a white dot they arent tritium if they were they would glow in the dark. happens on alot of m&ps just get some aftermarket ones or take some nail polish/ hobby paint and put a new dot

I use liquid paper, the dots have fallen out of all my M&P's, I don't replace the rear ones because I used a sharpie to blacken them out anyway.

Got a small can of Rustoleum oil based industrial duty paint for $10 @ Home Depot. Applied with a toothpick. Looks real good. Will be interesting to see how it holds up.
