Bought 2 - 20 round Pmags and have problems with both not feeding and bolt riding over the rounds.
This happens frequently on 2nd or 3rd shot.
Cannot see any problems by eye, as they look good.
Anyway, I ordered two SS Stoner mags from Midway, made in USA and supposed to be super mags.
Will see how they work.(these for a 15Sport)

I have some 20 round thermold (master molder) magazines....I have yet to have any problem with them and I use them all the time, I had some 30 rounders but they were kinda hit and miss but these 20's hit every time. Just my opinion but its hard to go wrong at $4 a piece

Wow...what a deal ! Think I paid about $13 each for these Pmags. I had heard they were great. They really look good and well made.
Did a search and found others having lots of problems with the 20 rounders. (PMags) This is after I bought them and had my own problems. Maybe the Stoner mags I got coming will work !
The 30 Rnd PMag that came with the rifle works like it should.
I am very happy with the rifle.
Thanks, Pete

Yep. I've heard that 20 round PMags can have issues. I have three 30 round mags but only fill them up to 20. No problems out of countless rounds. I also took DSG up on a 10 pack of DSG aluminum 30 round mags with Magpul followers. Those work great also and came out to around $8 each.

I do remember that previous thread. I have a 20 rd PMag that runs without problem (and a Thermold also). Maybe rub a drop of CLP on the follower and a drop down each inside of the mag to make the follower slide easier. If they continue to fail, send them back.

Yep CDNN Sports has the Thermold 20's for $3.99 and they have the C-products Mil-Spec grey teflon and black teflon metal mags with the no tilt followers for $7.99 I think next week I am going to order 6 or 8 more of the Thermold 20's, they have worked perfectly for me, I have the Pmag my Sport came with plus 10 30 round military mags, but I use my 1 military 20 and my 3 thermold 20's all the time.

I was reading an article that said the plastic molding behind the back of the follower(primer end) was the issue. It should be squared off even with the square that goes around the top of the mag. The ones that have issues are not square cut are U-shaped and did not get cut fully cut out at the factory. I'm not stating this as fact, just internet discussion, but it might give you a place to check for solutions.

I guess I am lucky. I just received three 20 round Pmags, from Midway, and all of them work just fine.

P mag 20 rounders

I have a couple. No problem so far in either my Sport or my Colt A2.

I have only used my 20 rnd once and had the same issue. I just looked and mine is u shaped like you described. Wonder what I should do now?

I have 8 20 round Pmags and they all work great. I must lead a charmed life, I never have problems with my guns or equipment.

Check the OAL on the rounds that stick. I just bought 4 Pmags that won't work with .223 rounds that measure 2.265, but just fine with M855 ball at 2.500. The NATO spec is 2.60 max.

Havn't used 20rd p-mags, but have used 20 rd stoner and brownell mags and never had a problem. Those thermold mags feed well, but the bolt won't stay open on empty mag in my Sport or RRA.

Check this out

Check all your mags, especially PMAGS, but check all mags!!

Most guys are square cutting it instead of just shaving it....but I'd research several sites to see how much to cut it. I've not had to do this since I do not use Pmags, so I can't give you first hand info, just passing on some of what I've read. Hope it helps.

I have three 20 round PMAGs that I use at the range and never have had a problem. I use two 30 round PMAGs coupled for carbine matches. I've never seen problems with any PMAGs that were not related to the rifle itself.

I just bought four 20rd Pmags and had no issues today at the range. Loaded them fully and shot away. I used PMC X-Tac 55gr and Federal 55gr 5.56 ammo.
BTW, no issues with the PMC X-Tac ammo. No FTF, FTE or misfires.

My thermolds lock the bolt open on both my Rifles...I just ordered 4 more so I could have 4 20's with each AR.

Everyone that is saying their 20rnd work fine are not saying how the back is cut. That is the info that is important. If the theory is correct and your's is cut correctly you shouldn't have a problem.
