What kind of "trouble"?

IE is inextricably intertwined with the operating system, and a lot of applications (such as Quick Books) use it.

I don't like IE, but if it's not working right, that may affect other things now and in the future.

Do what 7.62foryou said and get Firefox and Thunderbird. while your are at it get Avast firewall it is free and updates just about everyday You just have to renew your license once a year.

Firefox is good, but I've really come to like Apple's Safari browser on my PC. Easily the fastest browser out there, Interface is a little spartan, but what the heck, I'll trade pretty for speed any day.

After downloading FireFox several years ago, I never even think of using Internet Explorer.
