Hey guys,

I’m looking to find the lowest Picatinny Mount for a Delta Point Pro. Anyone think there is one lower than the Leupold low profile mount?

Currently I have a Burris Fast Fire 3 on my TRR8 and I’d like to upgrade to the DPP. My issue is that the lowest mount I can find is the Leupold one. In my opinion it makes the optic sit way too high and looks ridiculous in comparison to the FF3. I know there are mounts that replace the rear sight, but I’m looking to use it on the rail.

I’ve provided a link to a picture I found online with the DPP and Leupold mount on a TRR8 and a one for the FF3 so you can see the difference.

I used an Allchin mount . And mounted my optic rearward.
I would advise against using the original metal top mount for two reasons. One , it scratches the top shroud. Two, if the optic is heavy enough(6oz.), it will eventually loosen the barrel after 1500 or so rounds.

Yes I like that mount Lou. It seems the stock mount is just too high. I have an ultradot that I mount on the front but its so darn far forward and so high in general, the design of that sight. Any special steps to get that allchin rail installed or just unscrew the old, screw in the new in place of the rear sight?

It's just removing the rear sight and using the existing 3 holes that are on the top strap. Everything is there. The sight mounts give you the screws.

Original rear sight is just the one forward screw and it slides out. Just use a proper screwdriver for it.

I like having the optics as far back and low as possible.

I know about the allchin, but I’m specifically trying to keep the rail on mine so that if something happens to the optic I can take it off real easy and have working iron sights.

I’m not worried about anything coming loose as I’ve fired many thousand rounds (reloads and factory) through mine with out issues. Not am I worried about the scratching because I plan to cerakote the gun anyway. She’s already showing wear and tear lol.

I must agree that the allchin is a super nice looking mount. It’s just not achieving what I’m trying to do. Your gun looks great with those grips btw!

Here’s my gun!

Side note, I’m new here guys, how do you include pictures on here so I can show my gun?
I hear you about the wear....the trigger stop on mine almost looks like it's trying to dig a hole.

I just wanted to show what a low option mounted rearward looks like.

I use the 'tapatalk' app on my phone to upload pics and share easily. I dont like using computers. My phone is what they call a "phablet"? Lol. Phone-tablet? So I usually am out and about and can still keep in touch to the forum.
On the computer there might be a sticky to help with uploading pics. (?) I've never done that.

I got the app, thanks!

I may go the route of the allchin Mount. But not yet. I need to see if I can get my concept to work.

I’m trying to build a general purpose jack of all trades lever gun/revolver set up. Between the TRR8 and the Marlin 1894 Dark in 357, you got a good looking combo there. But part of my criteria is being able to use irons if the optic fails. So usually a QD or thumbscrew.
