I recently saw a thread on here talking about Truglo coming out with TFO sights made for the Shield. I came across this post on another forum and thought it may be of interest so I asked the OP if I could post it here...
He also said the package from the old style I have says "12 FT 10" above the UPC meaning October 2012 production. Both of the packaging from the two new styles say "13 EF 06" meaning June 2013 production. The UPC, description and model number are all the same.
The TFOs I just received from Amazon and installed on my FS 9mm also have 13 06 on them. I would assume they are also the new style which is nice incase I ever want to swap them onto my Shield. I will measure them with a caliper when I get a change to confirm. They do look a touch narrower on the slide of my FS then the stock sights did.
New TRUGLO Night Sights (TFO) that correctly fit the shield are out. I just got the slide back with the new sights from James at XD-HS2000.
I had already had the old style Truglo (TFO) (Green/Yellow) put on a Shield several months back by James. I sent him another Shield to have the new style installed. Below is what he emailed me when I told him there were many posts on the Shield forums that the new Truglo's were not out yet.
James emailed me on September 5th: "Yours ships today, and yes we are the first ones in the country to get the news ones. We only have the new ones we have not had the old versions for at least a month. You can update those threads."
FYI, he has been great to work with and has responded to emails in a timely manner. He has put Truglo's on three Shields for me so far--all Green/Yellow--one old style, two new style Truglos.
The one on the left is the New Style, the one on the right is the old style.

Sorry about the picture quality and having to use a wrench instead of calipers. I tried to take side pictures, but the width difference is so small it is hard to tell. There is a slight overhang on the old style sights and none on the new style sights.
