Hey all,

I am eagerly anticipating receiving my M&P Shield 9 (ordered it from Buds weeks ago and it STILL hasn't shipped  ) and I got some TFO sights for the Shield.

For those of you who have seen/have experience with these sights, how are they? Is it worth installing them over the stock sights? Should only the front TFO sight be installed or both front and rear sights?

EDIT: not sure why the words "sights" are hyperlinked in this post, so disregard the hyperlinks.

I have them installed on my Shield 40 (front and rear). Great sights for all conditions for me, they do have a slight bloom in very bright sun but not too bad and a Shield is a CC gun not a bullseye gun anyway.

LOL... This may have been something to ask BEFORE you got them.
Did you Get the Tritium Fiber Optics? or just TruGlo Fiber Optics?
Some have had problems with the TruGlow Fiber Optic sight rods/tubes falling out of the holders, while others haven't had any problems with the Tritiums.

It may have been worth the extra money to try their new TFX sights.
New Truglo TFX gen 2 TFO sights

I got the TFOs (tritium fiber optics) and the specific model that has compatibility with the Shield (I guess there is another model that doesn't work with the Shield.) I did my homework before I bought them, but they are still unopened so I could return them if need be.

Yes... The older models (which some vendors still sell) were/are a bit too wide for the Shield. The newer model works will all M&Ps.

The only obstacle with installing is not breaking the Tritium tubes. Some people get a bit over zealous during install.

Where in FL are you? I'm originally from Miami, but spent a few years in Clearwater, Jax, and Melbourne areas.

I have the TFO's also 1000 rounds on them no problems

I purchased a set of TFX sights for my FS .45. One of my co-workers have a set and they point pretty good, even with my old eyes.

Rob when were you in Melbourne, I worked at MPD and BCSO in the 80's and 90's.
