Trying to Identify Stocks. Griffin & Howe Possibly?

We just saw those didn't we? I see jig marks so whomever made them they are good ones.

You may have seen them in my classifieds ad and when I posted them in another sub forum but there wasnt much info from anyone. On a different forum I was told that they could be Griffin and Howe but it was only a guess.

One panel especially looks to have quite small jig marks. The grip screw nut looks odd from what I've seen. I'm not sure I've seen a confirmed set of Griffin & Howe revolver stocks.

The other jig marks look to be just as deep, I think it was the light in the photo. The other party who guessed about what they were brought up the grip screw as well. He said it looked modern and may be a replacement. They are a mystery
The hardware on threaded side does appear newer.
The finish also has a newer feel to me.
The screw entry side looks older. A thinner escushion.

Mine have got to be by one of the bigger names. Im wondering what the reasoning is behind the trigger guard pocket. Maybe for bullseye shooting?
I believe to allow the finger tip to touch the grip and may also be a built in trigger stop. I had a set that actually had wood between the trigger guard and back of the trigger. There was an adapter that did the same thing.There is a term for the design but it escapes me at the moment. There on threads on these types of stocks.
My Roper set has a wood filler piece behind the trigger.
There is a write up on this type grip in a Roper book pistol and revolver shooting.
When shooting with this grip in single action it only takes a light flex of a knuckle to pull the trigger. Not my favorite but it is different. I have a feeling it was a fad that did not last long.
Also my set only has the guard on one side. Some are on both making it a bit bulky around the trigger area.
