Keep it simple...anyway...I have multiple S&W revolvers...a S&W 1911 108299 and lordy I love it. Problem! I also have and love the Sig P229 in .40 including the 22lr conversion kit. Man, never fails, eats everything every time, easy to strip and clean, totally reliable and accurate. I carry it as well as a S&W 19-3.
What I do not like is the difference in transition time for the trigger difference. S&W revolvers...1911...no problem...Change to the Sig...yeppers.
I have decided to go with a 1911 with combat sights in .45 for carry to go with the 19-3, and buy a .22lr.
Between practice and real time I do not want to mental diddle the trigger thing. I also want to be able to reload just the .45.
Any suggestions as to the next combat carry .45? I just hate sending back tools to the factory for adjustments that should have been taken care of before it goes out the door, but I do realize that $2,500 does not prevent that either.
