I just picked up an M&P Shield 9mm the other day.

I am constantly in business attire, sometimes w/ or w/o a suit coat, so I am looking for a tuckable IWB holster for my Shield?

Anyone with any suggestions?

Lots of threads about IWB holsters lately! Love it...seeing folks become or continue to be responsible armed citizens.

Check out a few of the other threads for good conversation.

I run a Foxx Trapp all kydex holster. Minimal profile and tuckable.

I prefer the minimal design of the Kusiak, which has an option for a spare mag holder.

I have been wearing the Galco KingTuk for a couple weeks and it feels pretty good. I like the leather next to the skin and the adjustability of the clips.

It's not uncomfortable in the 4:00 - 4:30 position. After a while it sort of disappears.

I have a Remora tuckable on order to try out.

Tuckable is SO over-rated......invest in the highest quality IWB holster you can afford with a very sturdy belt.

I too am frequently dressed in suit an tie and what I mentioned above comes from many years of CC ......

PS...the other solution for many in this attire is to pocket carry a J frame revolver...matters not if you wear your jacket or not.

I agree. I haven't had much luck with tuckable holsters. When complete concealment is important, I have an LCP in a DeSantis Nemesis sitting in my pocket that does the job nicely.

I agree completely. When your all tucked in you still have the black hooks around your belt, which i see as a dead give away. My experience with J clips hasnt been very positive with extended wear times either.

That is why I'm interested in trying out the Remora because it doesn't rely on J clips over the belt. It is completely IWB.

However, black clips on a black belt are nearly invisible.

Yup. Tuckable is needed for many of us, like it or not. I'm not sure how you can overrate a tuckable, when you need it, you need it. Remora is an alternative, but it moves around a bit too much for me.

Here is my RKBA tuckable IWB.

I have a tuckable from mccabes custom leather for my shield. im very happy with it.
be aware, I waited 8 months for it. I didn't have my carry permit at the time but did have to push back some training until I got what I planned to wear. very nice holster with a single, tuckable clip.

Just get a pocket holster for your Shield. Problem solved. At least for me.

I'm thinking of trying a Alien gear holster, looks like a good made holster for a really good price compared to others I been looking at..

If your considering the Remora, you may want to look at Sticky holsters. I was turned onto them as they are made here in SW Florida, but must say they are impressive.

stickyholsters

They are not actually sticky as much as almost rubbery and are soft which is nice against the skin. I hear the Remora can be a tad aggressive against bare skin so this solves that issue. They are made in the USA and have a lifetime warranty. Plus at around $25 they are worth trying.

Another nice aspect of the rubbery/sticky quality is they don't require a ton of belt retention to work and actually help keep your pants from sagging from the weight of the gun. I use it with my G19 and mailed my brother one for his M&P 9pro and he loves it too.

Just thought I'd throw this out since it would fit your needs and is cheap enough you won't feel bad if you just use it occasionally.

I noticed that Tiger Outfitters carries them as well, and they offer free shipping on orders over $100. Tiger Outfitters

Good luck, and I'm going to pick one up here locally once I get my shield later this week.

I use the Crossbreed mini tuck and quik clip, when I only want 1 clip, and I have the Velcro clips and Velcro on my belt. The clips are very hard to notice and at 4 o'clock I don't notice it either. Give it a couple if weeks to mold to shape and if you don't love it, send it back. At least I have heard you can, I will never give up one of my CrossBreed IWB holsters. It's the second thing I buy for every new model of pistol I get.

Good recommendations so far. I've used the Remora with full sweat shield (a must if you don't wear a t-shirt IMO) and Crossbreed Supertuck Deluxe. I've tucked with the Crossbreed but quite honestly, I think any holster that is tuckable will still print a bit. I think that's why many CC guys wear their shirt out. Just easier. Good luck!
