50 round box, made in Italy - runs great, no issues for range ammo. Consistent.

100 round plastic can, made in Bosnia-Hertz... Some of the worst ammo I've ever tried. No, THE worst. I think those 100 had 100 different loads. One lit up the range (nearly took my hand off, flame had everyone asking "what is he shooting?"), the next went poof instead of bang, the bullet fell to the floor before it got to the 25 yard backstop. The range guys asked if they were my first reload attempts.Detail checked the gun for cracks and damage when I got home.

All run through my Shield 9.

At the right price I'll buy the Italian variety again (but Federal is cheaper at WM most days). Never again for the 100 tub.

Now I don't shoot near as much as I'd like, so I'm not spending a ton on ammo, but I'd personally rather spend the extra couple bucks/box for Federal or WWB. But if you're shooting hundreds of rounds a month that couple bucks really starts to add up, so YMMV.

For the price, it is excellent. I have shot HUNDREDS of this stuff through my Glock 19 with nary a whimper, and it all seemed consistant. Shoots real nice.

It might be cheap Russian steel cased stuff, but that's what the Russians are best at making and it's what they go to war with. Actually I've never had a bad experience with ANY of the big name Russian ammo manufacturers like Tula or Barnaul etc. in guns that are made to take steel cased stuff.

If it's the only stuff available I'd use it, but I don't care for Polymer Coated Steel Cased ammo. I think it's dirtier than other brands and I've actually had bits of the Polymer coating caked onto my chamber. It doesn't really seem worth the $1 or so I might save.

I actually prefer the Tula BrassMax over the 'regular', but I'm not a fan of it either, if Federal Value Pack is available.

I shoot it all the time (when I can find it). No problems.

I've shot several hundred rounds of the 9mm in my Shield and my FS and never had a problem. If I remember correctly, I used it in my SCCY too with no issues.

Yes I use the steel case Tulammo & BrassMax. Never a problem in M&P9c or SD9ve. Last I found at WM was Tula $10.73 a box I got all they had. The BrassMax is a little more, closer to the price of Fed white box. Also used Perfecta it worked also.
Sure glad to see more 9mm available.

i've used Tula (boxed, brass) in my 9c with no issues, and if that is all i could find i'd probably try it again for range use.
Frankly i've probably ran 6-8 different brands/types of fmj ammo and haven't had a single issue with any of them as far as firing correctly.

I shoot mostly the Russian manufactured steel cased ammo. But all the guns I shoot it in have chrome lined chambers and bores.
At one time the wolf 45acp was only $6.67 a box of 50rds and the 9mm luger was around the same cost.

Although I typically use brass range ammo, I have used a little bit of steel ammo. It doesn't matter what we think of it, your pistol's opinion is the one that matters. If it runs in it, you can use it as inexpensive range ammo that will probably require you clean your firearm more often. A couple of my pistols that never have problems with brass occasionally have minor feeding problems with steel.

Been shooting it and every other cheap eastern European ammo for years and years in all sorts of guns. Only ever had 2 problems, both were primer related

Agree 100%. Tula brass cased ammo in 50 round boxes from Italy is outstanding. Tula brass cases ammo in 100 round cans from Bosnia is ****. My PPQ M2 would eat everything, would have isues with bosnian ammo, especially during long range session. Basically gun would not go into battery and you could not pull the slide ro remove the round. Happened 3 or for times during shooting. I talked to one of range officers and he said that most likely case expanded due to heat and would not seat correctly all the way. Not sure if that is true, but only had an issue with Bosnian Tula ammo.

I shot it a few times,no issues. My local range does not allow non-brass ammo. Also very dirty .

I'll agree with pretty much everyone else. It's dirty, but has always gone bang for me.

I use it, and some of the other Russian steel case ammo in my MP-15 and Saiga 7.62x39 almost exclusively with no problems whatsoever. Have used it in my .308 bolt action and my MP 9FS and 9c with no complaints. Yeah, it's dirtier than most brass, but for the price, it's great for punching paper.

Well... 7.62 is of Soviet origin and I'm guessing the PM-15 is probably 5.56 NATO?
I'd REALLY be surprised (more like shocked) if they didn't run well with with Steel Cased ammo. :)
I'd also be surprised to hear of any Glock, XD, Beretta, or other Euro-Made pistols having problems with steel cased ammo (following the old adage of 'Euro-made bullets for Euro-made firearms').
