I have a great respect for those who are not responding. And no respect for any and all who would attempt confiscation.

I think the time is just about right. Bus charters and caravans taking 5,000 or so people to Connecticutt every week or two for public demonstrations, each person displaying an unregistered magazine. Nice and peaceful, courteous and respectful, clean and neat. Video crews, of course.

Best if no one carries any identification. That way it will take CT authorities several days to identify most of us via fingerprints, etc. No one posts bail. No one gives a promise to appear in court. Everyone enters 'not guilty' pleas and demands a jury trial. The more retirees the better, especially those with special medical needs, prescription medication requirements, etc, for the authorities to deal with.

Repeat the process once or twice each month. Let them fully understand that they don't have enough cops to arrest, enough jail cells to hold, enough prosecutors to proceed, or enough courtrooms to hold the trials.

I don't think it would be very long before local and state officials would be begging the state legislature to repeal these laws.

Road trip anyone?

Kalifornia passed a far reaching ban in 2000. Register or destroy or turn in. Few complied. There are probably over 100,000 banned weapons still here. And now with the "bullet button" there must be 10 times that number of AR's and AK's in civilian hands. The government does not have the manpower or the resources to actually confiscate. Be strong and vigilant, someday this stupidity will be stopped. If we vote and stay informed the good will eventually win out.

I don't think the Ca. government would be proactive about enforcing this. However, if it is reported to them that you have an "illegal" weapon, or if somehow the police or fire department were to see one in your house (after a house fire or break-in, etc), you can bet your bottom dollar there would be arrests and prosecution! They would treat you no differently than a gang-banging thug with an AK-47 in a crack house.

Treat a law abiding citizen like a thug, then I predict that law abiding citizens will become thugs.
