TV series

On Prime I like Acorn better than Brit Box.
George Gently, Midsomer, Line of Duty, Bosch, Inspector Morse. Many older brit det. series watch from small screen B&W to large screen color. A lot of good subtitle shows like the Tunnel as well.
I turn on Brit Box for a month here and there to get Vera and Shetland.
Virtually no regular TV for me.
Mind how you go!

Case histories is a very good series starring Jason Isaacs [Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter series]. Set in Scotland and mostly understandable accents.
Still Standing is a great comedy show about Canada's dying small towns and what some are doing to keep them alive. Hosted and starring Jonny Harris they are hilarious. Prime hosts them.
White Dragon was good on Prime as was The Widow.

Some of the favorites here with both of us.

Firefly.
Freaks and Geeks.
The Wire.
Life. Damian Lewis and Sarah Shahi. I happen to like looking at her, but I am a guy at times.
Band of Brothers.
Rescue Me. Excellent and funny series about FDNY firefighters.
Green Acres.
I Dream of Jeannie. I still love looking at Barbara Eden, still a guy. LOL

I enjoy(ed) shows like Miami Vice, Knots Landing, A-Team, Streets of San Francisco, Kojak, Riptide, Rockford,... just to name a few.

Have not usually had much time for TV, but, if it is on late at night, I will take in a few episodes of MASH or Mary Tyler Moore.

I have read every Bosh novel written and enjoyed it, but I have tried to watch the TV series and just witch it. To me the production doesn't follow the books, and the main characters don't fit the books.

Michael Connelly has written the Amazon series to reflect a newer audience, while retaining the atmosphere of an old veteran and an older Detective. I very much enjoy them. He has also edited both new and future stories to retain Bosch's image and personality.
If you are into podcasts, check out Connelly's "Murder Book".
