Two first year Colt New Service revolvers

The recent threads with early, low-serial number Triple Locks made me think of the TL's big competitor: Colt New Service

I have 2 first year NS in my collection (1899). Neither in great condition visually, but both excellent mechanically and with great bores.

The earlier is SN 407, sports a long barrel (later replacement) and is in caliber 44-40.
The later is SN 1782 and is in 38-40.
