Tyler T Grip company shutdown - shipping again

I hope all is back to normal and everyone who paid already get theirs too.
For me, I am a little "gun" shy right now.

Right after I posted, I saw that REB 133 began a new thread stating he had sent Tyler a money order on 8/24 and received his product on 8/30. That is indeed a quick turnaround, and as you say they may finally have turned the corner.

I can only presume he ordered a part number that does not have a waiting list. I would hate to think they shipped a new order at the expense of an older one having to wait even longer.

Glad you got your product. I may even have to get one to try on my M38. The Hogue's feel nice, but boy are they big.

I've used T Grips for many, many years on my J Frames. For me, nothing compares to a magna, or a Barami Hip Grip and a Tyler grip on a J Frame, be it my M649, M60, or any of my airweights.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On 2 February 2011, I ordered two J Frame grip adapters from Tyler. Twenty minutes ago they were delivered and ten minutes ago they were on my M649 and M638. They appear to be the quality of Tlyer grips of the past. The Tyler problem has been resolved

I ordered and paid for the same t grips in early December and have yet to receive them! So much for taking care of back orders first get them or not I will never do business with tyler again

I'm glad I found this thread. I was wondering why prices on eBay jumped on these. I hope everyone posts whether or not they have received their backorders. I was about to place an order, but am always wary when I have to send out a check, with little recourse if I don't get what I ordered. I've been burned before, by a dealer with whom I had a successful transaction, who decided to take my money the second time around and never deliver...

Ordered 1 in Nov of 2010, recieved my order today. I
wrote this off in April, so it's a nice surprise.

The 3 T-grips, black N-frame, black square butted K-frame and a brushed aluminum for a round butted K-frame, I ordered last November arrived today.

They are back . . . tied to a "newly found" half-brother to my nephew in Oklaholma City; have it on good word that supplies should resume and hopefully some assemblance of credibility restored.

I received my order placed in April. The quality of the grips are just as good as before.

I've moved on to BK adapters for my Smith's but I needed an adapter for a Colt Police Positive Special -- I noticed Tyler's new wesite listed them as being in stock -- I mailed a check on Thursday 1st September -- got a call this morning (3rd Sept) checking on it and was told it would be in the mail today -- Sounds like they may have their act togeather again -- I'll post when it gets here

I' glad for everyone involved, but if I happen to need another Grip adapter I will order from B.K. Grips. As another member noted Wrangler5 stepped up and filled a need when Tyler was not shipping.

I wish both B.K. Grips and Tyler the very best.

Received my #3 T grip today after 7 months. I had given up any hope of ever receiving it but I think the new management is running the business as Melvin did. Tedog

New Production Tyler T-Grips

After all the news of the ownership change of Tyler Manufacturing and hearing about people who had begun receiving their old orders, I thought I would take a $30 gamble and order a T-Grip for my Model 66 no dash. I came really close to spending $100 on a 3R size on eBay a while back and I'm glad I didn't. It was approximately 4 weeks since I placed my order and I got the adapter in the mail today. Quality is very good and fit is right on the money. I've very happy that I took the chance on them and hope that my experience might convince others who are on the fence to go ahead and commit. Here are a couple photos of the no dash 66 with the T-Grip.

Good to hear. Those folks have been in such absolute disorder that I assumed they had collapsed for good. Hope the business recovers.
