Their website lists modifications from 8/2019, but I don't see any email contact ability. Phone listed on site, which does identify as Tyler Manufacturing, says "mailbox full ", their "National Distributor" is Robertson Trading, and that site doesn't list Tyler products, nor respond to email requests for information about Tyler products, so...

Anyone know if they're still a functional company and taking orders?

Figured if anyone in North America knew the answer, they'd be on this site.

Thanks for any assistance.

(and of course if you have some gratuitous S&W/T Grip porn, always appreciated :) )

You might try doing a search on here. There are lots of negative posts about Tyler and trying to buy from them. Probably your best bet is to post in the classified and be ready to pay a bit extra for what you seek. In the mean time, here is a bit of J-frame vintage Tyler T porn.

I would post some more but don't want anyone to get to excited over something they may have to wait a looooong time for. :)

I received a T Grip last year with about a 2 week waiting period from the time I mailed the check to them. I've had T Grips for something like 4 decades, but I wonder how long the company will remain in business as it strikes me as kind of a Mom and Pop operation without any new blood to rejuvenate it.

It's pretty old school there and they do not sell via the internet or take on-line payment.

I currently have an order in with them for a SS J Frame.

I don’t know anything about the current state of affairs but I’ve used them for a long long time.

Thanks, I already put post in WTB. So, far it's drier than fresh toast. I'm trying to rebuild my LEO days carry 66 No Dash 4" into the same configuration I used on the streets, Magna and Tyler.

I'm patient, so fling up all the T Grip porn you want. :)

Bought a T-grip for an N-frame a year ago, apparently they shipped it 6 mos later but I never received it. I’ll never deal with them again.

The whole Tyler thing should really be a "Sticky" for all the times it comes up. Bottom line seems to be, with the exception of the above post, that they cash your check as soon as received, are almost impossible to reach, and eventually do ship a good product, if you are in no hurry.

Ebay can be a source if instant gratification is desired.

Pictured is my model 28 with one installed. Makes a world of difference for my large hands.

I ordered one last year, took MONTHS to get here. So long I'd forgotten I ordered it. I've got an old T-grip in aluminum, but the one I ordered was black. The old one was marked "T-grip" the one I got was not marked and was rough in finish. I wouldn't recommend them at all.

The BK grip is not aluminum, but is a better quality. I need one for a N frame, but BK doesn't make one...the K frame doesn't fit well, although the maker says some people use it. Maybe some filing inside would help it fit, don't know.

I am pretty sure those are two different Model 10s but since they are no longer with me I can't be 100 percent certain!

This next M19 is gone, too:

This nickel M 10 is gone as well:

Also gone - snub M10:

And gone - M19:

This Model 10 is still with me - if the picture is upside down I'd appreciate someone telling me how to turn it over. It was never upside down before.

The guns that are gone were all too water stained after my 2018 fire - I couldn't bear to look at them so they were sold as plain shooters. I believe that I got all of the T-grips off and still have them somewhere.

Except the nickel M10 - it took the brunt of the fire, not just water. When I found it the six rounds were still live! But the gun was a wreck.

I have preferred magna grips with a T-Tyler since I replaced the target grips on my first M-19 with that combination in the mid-1970s. I still have at least one Tyler for each S&W frame size. This a #4 on a Pre-27 with custom magna grips in a lined El Paso Tanker holster.

Still waiting for a February order, but I knew what I was getting into. Just don't be in a hurry.

I've found a couple at gun shows that were already attached to guns but the seller didn't know/care what they were and was happy to remove them in exchange for a few twenties from me. Always carry a small screwdriver (and pocket flashlight) at a show.
