I am looking at an older but unfired stainless steel Cimmaron 45 colt revolver. Does anyone have any experience with these, and what should I expect a "friend and family" price to pay. The barrel is a little over 4 inches. Fixed firing pin on the hammer. Thanks in advance, Ken.

Uberti revolvers are quality handguns. Been a while since I was in the market for one, but a fair price between friends is whatever they both feel good about.

Howdy Ken. Uberti makes guns for Taylor, Cimarron and others as well as marketing arms under its own name. The general feeling seems to be that "for the price" there's not a better Colt Single Action Army replica around. It's been said that parts were often interchangeable, but I can neither confirm nor deny. One of the expert gunsmiths on this board could say for sure. Best to remember that both the strengths and weaknesses of the venerable Colt are carried forward in the Uberti. $250 to $350 is often seen as a retail figure. I've seen some sell much higher. Good luck

Back in my cowboy action shooting days I saw plenty of Uberti SAA replicas. I don't recall any serious complaints but you have to remember they are Colt replicas, not Vaqueros.

Cimaaron's guns are on the high end retail-wise. 600 to 800 dollars MSRP. Good looking, too. Retail at the LGS is a whole nuthuh smoke.

$400 to $500 price range seems about right. Cimarron / Uberti imports are some of the nicer ones regarding fit and finish. Cimarron is the importer, it's all Uberti, they made limited runs for importers such as Cimarron. Are you getting the box, manual etc.? BTW Uberti is now a subsidiary of Beretta so you know the quality is there.

I see them priced higher but the ones that sell are between $300 - $400. I have a Cimarron 45 Colt and it is a great shooter. Also picked up one in 32-20, unfired and with the box, for $300. It is no longer unfired.:)
