I've been walking around Virginia City NV ( Comstock lode, preserved 19th century town) in period costume and my .44 spl Blackhawk just didn't cut it. I bought the above mentioned Cattleman ( Peacemaker clone) from Taylor's distributor through Midway. I was surprised at how accurate it is and that trigger is MUCH better than I expected in an inexpensive firearm. Very pleased..

Does that have the transfer bar or whatever the safety is that some of them come with? Been looking for a new Colt clone so I don't put too much wear on my only real Colt, and that is a good looking revolver.

The old model has the fixed firing pin. The new model has either a "folding" firing pin or a transfer bar. You can order which ever one you want. I wanted as Coltish as I could find..
