FYI, the UFC 101 Countdown Show is on 11pm ET/PT Tuesday 8-4-09. It Re-Airs Thursday August 6 at 2 AM at Saturday August 8 at 6 PM.

You picked all of it the same as I did. I am not going to get it. Some friends and I are going somewhere to watch it. I think they said we were going to Buffalo Wild Wings. Wherever we go it will be a fun night.

snakeman

I will be getting the event by proxy. A buddy is a big fan he has me over for all the fights. I jsut bring him Diet Coke

Buffalo Wild Wings is a good place to watch a UFC, snakeman32.

Smilin-buddha, not much better than getting it by proxy.

I split the cost with a good friend I've known since college.

FYI, the Countdown show is on tonight.

making plans to attend a sports bar to watch it.

I think Silva will get it.

I would also like to see Florian win.

I am very interested in the BJ Florian fight. Both very skilled and tough.
Seems like an ideal match-up.As fighters,I like them both.BJ has typical
Hawaiian local attitude issues, but he really can and will back them up.
I will root for Forest as the amazingly tough and relentless underdog.
Silva is in many ways my #1 mma fighter, with Machida only to be proven over time.
Looks like a possibly great event.

Top 5 Pound-4-Pound MMA fighers (in no particular order):

Anderson Silva (UFC MW Champ)
Fedor
GSP (UFC WW Champ)
Machida (UFC LHW Champ)
Miguel Torres (WEC BW Champ)

I cannot contest that list.

I wish Fedor would make a raid through the UFC.

I think The big L and Fedor would be a fun fight.

Machida may reveal more as time passes.

;)

All MMA fans wish M-1 Global (which seems to own Fedor, lock and stock) could have reached a deal with the UFC. The UFC gave into everyone of M-1's demands that they had previously refused to do except for the co-promotion. Dana White was absolutely right to tell M-1 that there is no need for M-1 to co-produce anything with the UFC.

I like Strikeforce and hope to see some good Fedor fights in the next year.

*****SPOILER*******

Yeah I just got finished watching the Silva fight, if you could call it a fight. Forrest Griffin is a very very good fighter and Silva just made him his play toy.

I would like to see Anderson Silva and Lyota Machita fight at 205.

Why did Forrest run? Run Forrest..Run! ???????????????????????

embarrassed because he was slowed, telegraphed every punch or kick as Silva dodged each one?????

Florian too. He was too slow and BJ looked like he trained for this one. He was strong, quick and could not be brought down.

To make a fighter as good as Forrest look that bad means that Anderson is truly on another level.

Silva and Machida are very good friends and have both stated that they would never fight each other.

I believe Silva has 3-4 fights left on his contract. He will defend his belt against Dan Henderson or the winnder of the Marquardt / Maia fight.

Silva has said often that he plans to be retired by 35 or 36.
