Did you read Black Sunday by Thomas Harris or see the movie?
They got some great effects from the Goodyear or similar blimp over the Super Bowl game. Actually, I'm really surprised that a terrorist organization didn't do precisely what Harris envisioned.
I do believe in UFO's. Saw one and tracked it on radar in Newfoundland many years ago, and F-106's were dispatched to catch it. It easily outflew them and disappeared. It was clearly under intelligent control.

The war on drugs / illegal immigration continues. Those blimps don’t work so well on the gulf coast, it’s kinda windy, so the Predator drones and some big Orion spook planes roam around here....and of course RIBS and cutters

Those have been up for as long as I can remember...they're used for watching the desert adjacent to the Mexican border.

Yes she does fly. Her broom is a certain airline she works for. When she was allowed to come visit I always asked the wife what time her broom would sit down!!!

That's a Border Patrol (or other Gummint Agency) eye in the sky. These are tethered along the border but maybe a hundred or two hundred miles northe of the border. First one I ever saw was (and still is as far as I know) tethered north of Marfa and south of Ft. Davis in Texas.

They are called Aerostats. In common use along the southern border. Just tethered balloons containing spy stuff.

They used to have one not too far from my house back in the 90's and 2000's. Like has been said, a "spy in the sky" for watching for druggies bring stuff in. The bulge on the bottom is a downward looking radar system of some sort. One of our church members worked on it while it was operational on the balloon and tether/winch side of the operation. The radar side was handled by government/military folks.

They are all over the Southern US border. I've seen the one at Ft. Huachuca AZ since the early 90's.

At my old house I wasn’t far from a resivoir and going down my long street on two separate days I seen a large silver object over the water glowing from the sun hitting it. I just stopped and watched it. I have no clue as to what it was it made no noise.
